So God created the woman

“He created them male and female and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.” Genesis 5:2

Our hats are off to all mothers who we will be celebrating this week on special Mother’s Day. If you can read this – thank the mother who God used to bring you into this world. God saw it fit to give the grace of bearing children to mothers. It’s amazing the things, situations or moments that mothers go through in raising children.

We celebrate the grace that comes with motherhood – it’s a special one that only mothers can explain. Think about it, the grace to bear for all those nine months of expectation and for others the grace to conceive for others after a long time and maybe almost giving up but somehow at the appointed time. Think about those long nights, those moments of watching over the child or children during their sick moments and those dark patches of their lives. Remember the restlessness of wanting to know how your child is faring when they are far from your presence – it is a special grace.

We salute you mothers for the grace that is upon you from God the creator.
